Happy President’s Day!  I hope all who had the day off from work or school is enjoying their day off, and for those that did not – I hope you are having a great Monday.  This week we are getting pretty excited because on Friday we leave for one of our most favorite trade shows of the year – CAMEX!  CAMEX (Campus Market Expo) is the show where we get to meet and work with all of the buyers from collegiate bookstores from all over the country.  Every year CAMEX is also the first show where we get to show off all of our new BTS merchandise.  This year we have a little something extra in the works, which I hope to tell you all about sooner rather than later!  If you are going to be attending CAMEX in Houston this year please come by and see us in Booth #3037

The ending of Toy Fair in NYC today marks the end of our busy trade show schedule for January and February.  Together members of the Room It Up team traveled and worked on  a record 6 shows throughout the past 7 weeks.  Whew!  That being said we had a great time launching the new Room It Up spring collection to a variety of different retailers and audiences.  A big thank you goes out to all of you that stopped by our booth at any of the shows and helped make this January and February a great and productive couple of months.  Meanwhile the travel crew here at RIU is happy to unpack our suitcases and settle back into our offices until mid March (for CAMEX of course!)

With all of our travels came all sorts of new finds and insights that I will be sure to share with you here on our blog in some upcoming posts.  Be sure to stay tuned.

It appears as though the trade show express is leaving yet again!  This time we are traveling back to NYC to exhibit at the annual International Toy Fair which runs from February 14-17.  We hope to see a good amount of our Toy Store buyers there to chat and show off the new collections.  If you are attending the show be sure to see us at our new location on the upper level, booth#388.  Hopefully the snow stays away like it is supposed to… us Floridians don’t fair so well in that snowy climate…. It’s a good thing I have that big parka to guard against those gusts of wind that seem to be aplenty in the city.  I’ll try to take some pictures and will be sure to catch you all when I get back in the office on Wednesday!

Tomorrow we will be leaving for the NYIGF winter show!  We are excited to show off all of the brand new collections to all of our retailers as well as our brand new line of Stationery.  Be sure to check us out in booth #1734 if you are heading to the Javits Center as well – we always love to meet, chat and work with our customers at shows.  As a special bonus you’ll receive a limited edition RIU shopping bag and compact mirror brush just for stopping by and sayin’ hey!

Last week we were at one of our favorite trade shows of the year, SURF Expo in Orlando, FL and spotted our very stylish Hippie Chic Umbrella on stage at their Fashion Show.  We think it looks so chic paired with her yellow beachy cool dress.
