Today’s outfit was inspired by these cute and classic brown oxford shoes. I wanted to keep the outfit casual and comfy and I did so by pairing the shoes with cuffed boyfriend jeans, a basic black blazer and a fun leopard scarf. While this outfit does lack some color, I think using the leopard print gives the outfit the pop it needs.

Today’s outfit inspiration features a classic belted trench. The trench coat is the perfect piece for fall, spring and mild winter days. It’s a great layering piece and always looks chic.
In the above set the trench is definitely the splurge item. However, I paired it with basic pieces that can be found pretty much anywhere (and probably your own closet!) at lower price points.

The Inspiration: 80′s Dot Overnight Duffle
It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for this week’s outfit inspired by one of our signature, fun prints, 80′s Dot. This print has been such a hit since the day we released it – and I for one think it has something to do with our customer’s love for everything Polka Dots (especially black/white with a surprise pink trim!) For the outfit creation today I searched far and wide on polyvore for the perfect black and white polka dot top. I think I found it! See below how I accessorized said top to create a look that just screams I love the 80′s (Dot)! By the way, don’t you just love that little floral-adorned headband? Too cute!

The Inspiration: Merci Weekender Bag
For this week’s outfit inspiration I decided to go for the Black and White trend via one of our most beloved prints, Merci. Last week on one of my favorite fashion blogs, Who What Wear they featured the black and white trend here. Below you will see my latest spread via (my new favorite website) Polyvore. For today’s feature I chose to speak to the Euro and Parisian nature of the print and in doing so chose some traditional items such as the basic black blazer and patent black oxford. (As a side note I LOVE those cute little oxfords and hope to someday – hopefully soon- own a pair just like them). I also wanted to take a moment to point out that a lot of the items available on Polyvore are quite high end and thus a little pricey so for these purposes I am using them as merely true inspiration. I no doubt know that you can find similar items at your nearest Forever21, H&M, Macy’s and beyond.. for more than likely a fraction of the price. For now, please enjoy the below.
Kijo Round Neck Tee – Organic Cotton, $45
juril Long Tailored Coat w/ Shirred Sleeves (Black), $105

Inspiration: SoHo Swirl Beach Tote
Yesterday here at the office Marianne in the Art and Creative department pointed out that my cardigan was almost the same color as the Magenta in our SoHo Swirl print. Then a great idea came to me for a new blog series called “Outfit Inspiration of the Week” – inspired by all things Room It Up. We like to think of ourselves as color and fashion trend enthusiasts so this new series should be a lot of fun for me to do every week.
For the first in the series I decided to create an outfit inspired by our SoHo Swirl print using the uber cool web service Polyvore. If you have never heard of Polyvore before I suggest you check it out (an account is free too!). It’s a great way to see fashion pieces and pull them together to make your own unique editorial spread type look – much like I created today below.
I personally love this outfit and think that it speaks to the laid back boho-cool look of the print- especially those cute sequin flats. What are your thoughts? I would love to hear what you think!! As a bonus if you like what is featured there is listing information for all of the items… too cool!
