Tomorrow Kristin and I travel to Alabama to kick off our College Tour events!  You can follow our adventures on Facebook and Twitter where we will be periodically updating as we travel from Alabama to North Carolina!  We are super excited to have the opportunity to visit all of these college campuses and spread the word about RIU!  According to good ole’ MapQuest we’ll be on the road – in total – for approximately 12.5 hours!!  Here’s hoping Kristin made that killer playlist on her iPod!  Kristin and I are also hoping to visit some of our other non-collegiate retailers along the way – so if your store is on our route you might just get a surprise drop-in from RIU!

The first days of school are upon us!  While I am happy to be done with my years of high school and college – every fall I still yearn for the first few days of school and all that they encompassed –  new gear, new clothes, new friends!  Over here at RIU we are still in full back to school mode and this morning I was inspired to create what I think to be a great back to school outfit!  Look below to see what I created – all of which is extremely back to school budget friendly – all pieces are $70 and under!  On a slightly related note – we would love to see how you are incorporating your back to school looks with your RIU gear.  Post your pictures to our Room It Up facebook fan page!  (those who do – may be in for a fun surprise!)

That’s right, RIU is heading back to college this month.  Not just one college – but five!!  We are loading up a RIU emblazoned SUV and hitting the road!  From August 18th through 24th Kristin and I will be traveling through the south to visit five southern schools, all whilst spreading the word about Room It Up!  Join us for one-day events outside the following campus bookstores – University of Alabama, Auburn University, University of West GA, UNC – Pembroke and UNC – Chapel Hill!  Check out our event pages on Facebook – if we are visiting your school be sure to RSVP!  We’ll be handing out loads of fun giveaways!!!  Hope to see you at one of the tour stops!
