Tonight is Fashion’s Night Out!  This is the third year in a row that designers and retailers alike host events for a night of after hours shopping and just a general celebration of the fashion industry.  This year FNO is continuing the branch out to cities beyond the major metropolitan, and odds are there are some events being hosted locally to where you live.  On FNO’s website you can search for local events and plan your night.  So grab some girlfriends and have some fun!

Last Friday RIU was invited to participate at a local Fundraiser Fashion Show for a charity here in Stuart, The Gertrude Walden Child Care Center.  A lot of local shops and businesses had the opportunity to show off their wares to an audience at Jensen Beach HS.  We were more than happy to participate!  Below are some pictures of a few RIU products at the show. Too fun!

Alex and Kristin outside UNC Student Stores – Chapel Hill

We are back from our college tour travels!  We had a great time meeting new RIU fans, passing out free goodies and just hanging outside the campus bookstores.  While it’s great to be home we will definitely miss all of the college atmosphere we got to soak in over the past 8 days!  You can see all of our pictures from the events on the RIU Facebook Page.  In the next two days we will be announcing the winners of the drawings held at each of the college campuses.

Hello RIU fans!  We had another successful event at U of West GA on Friday.  After the event we headed on over to Atlanta for a couple days of much needed rest and relaxation.  Highlights of the weekend included a trip to the GA Aquarium, a trip to Atlantic Station and Lennox Mall and of course the 5.5 hour drive to Pembroke, NC!  Tomorrow we will be located outside the UNCP campus bookstore!  Tomorrow we will be heading over to UNC Chapel Hill for our event on Tuesday – then it’s time to head on back to Sunny South Florida!!!

Another day another successful event!  We had a great time today in War Eagle country!  Passed out lots of free RIU goodies outside the Auburn University bookstore.  A huge thanks to Teresa and everyone else who came to give us ice cold water and those essential AU fans!  We are now heading over to Georgia (back in Eastern time!) to visit the University of West GA bookstore.  If you are a West GA student be sure to stop by and and say hey and pick up one of our free prize packs!  Check out our updated pictures from today’s Auburn event on facebook here.  More updates tomorrow!!

Roll Tide!!! RIU at ‘Bama!

I am happy to report that we had a great event today outside the University of Alabama Supply Store!  We gave out a lot of great free giveaways and had a number of entries for our facebook college tour giveaway!  Besides the 1:15pm rain downpour – I’d say the day was a success!  We want to thank Peter and Michelle for being great hosts for our event and all of the Bama students that stopped by during their first day of classes.  You can see our pictures from today’s event on our RIU facebook page.  We’ll be adding more each night after our events!

Tomorrow we are headed to the Auburn University bookstore where we will be handing out more giveaways from 11am – 2pm!  If you are an Auburn student be sure to stop by!

Tomorrow Kristin and I travel to Alabama to kick off our College Tour events!  You can follow our adventures on Facebook and Twitter where we will be periodically updating as we travel from Alabama to North Carolina!  We are super excited to have the opportunity to visit all of these college campuses and spread the word about RIU!  According to good ole’ MapQuest we’ll be on the road – in total – for approximately 12.5 hours!!  Here’s hoping Kristin made that killer playlist on her iPod!  Kristin and I are also hoping to visit some of our other non-collegiate retailers along the way – so if your store is on our route you might just get a surprise drop-in from RIU!
